The Eternal Eluder - Episode 2

Episode 2 :

I could sense the shock in her eyes, her voice and her face. Sandhya was clueless confused.

“Chill Sandy,.. relax. Now, lower your voice and listen carefully”

“Yeah, tell me” she was still in the state of shock.

“Am planning to destroy the database of this company.. destroy all its contents and bring the company to a stand-still and ruin this establishment “

“Are you serious ?” she lowered her voice.

“Very much ! “

“Do you even think this is possible Dave?  Do you think its an easy job ? This is one of India’s largest Chemical manufacturing unit.. The database and its contents will be well protected.”

“Yeah.. I know all that crap..all I need is the access to the server room and the login ID and password of the main server”

“Forget it.. just sit and play your games.”

“I need your help.. I see that Anand is a flirt and he is running behind you.. I believe you would be able to get me the log In ID and password details.”

“In your dreams.. Chalo.. I have installed the software.. continue playing your game.” Saying she got up to leave.

“Sure babes!”

“Dont call me babes! And were you really serious about whatever you said ?”

“naah.. just kiddingJ “ I gave a sheepish smile.

She left the place with a smile.

I sat back in my chair, stretched my legs and began to play solitaire, again. I was seated in an isolated place such that no one would be able to look into my system nor hear what I speak.. Some are born lucky.

An hour should have passed when Greemin came to my place. He was also an apprentice, a tech – freak , and was in NSS support. He was lean, fair, had a moustache and looked like the guy who would take nothing seriously.

“Day dreamer David ! What doing boss ? No work ?” he asked me.

“Having loads Greemin.. and wondering how I’m gonna finish of this game!”

“hmmm.. you know how true the saying is, that the idle mind is the devil’s workshop!”

“What ?”

“And you want to destroy CMPL.. Just like that !”

“Oh.. ha ha ha.. Sandy told you ?”

“Yeah !”

Greemin was a common friend of us. I was good with people and could easily befriend them in a short span. Greemin and Sandy became close to me in just a month.

“I was just kidding with her dude “ I replied with that same sheepish smile.

“But I thought it was for real” there was a sense of seriousness in his tone.

“Would you join with me if it were for real ?”

“Whats the motive ?” he asked me

“Its not the motive that matters.. but the moolah.. you’ll get five..” i showed my five fingers to him.

“Lakhs ?”

“Crores ! If we are gonna finish this job we will each get 5 crores!”

“Oh.. My.. GOD !” Greewin could hardly sink in what he had heard.
